Here’s a step-by-step guide to the lash lift process to help you understand what happens during your treatment:
1. Consultation
Your lash technician will discuss your desired results, assess your natural lashes, and determine the curl size best suited to your eye shape and lash length.
2. Preparation
You’ll lie down comfortably with your eyes closed.
Your lashes and eyelids are thoroughly cleaned to remove makeup, oils, or debris.
A silicone shield (in the curl size you’ve chosen) is placed on your eyelids to act as a mold for curling your lashes.
3. Lifting Process
Your natural lashes are gently combed upward and adhered to the silicone shield using a safe, water-soluble adhesive to hold them in place.
A cysteine-based lifting solution is applied to the mid-lengths of your lashes. This softens the keratin bonds in the lashes, making them moldable to the shape of the shield.
The solution is left to process for a specific time, depending on your lash thickness and texture.
4. Setting Process
The lifting solution is carefully removed, and a neutralizing solution is applied. This re-bonds the keratin in your lashes, locking in the new lifted shape.
The setting solution is left to process for a few minutes to ensure long-lasting results.
5. Nourishment
After setting, your lashes are cleaned to remove any residue.
A nourishing serum or conditioner is applied to hydrate and strengthen your lashes, leaving them soft and healthy.
6. Final Touches
Once the silicone shield is removed, your lashes are gently combed, revealing their beautifully lifted appearance.
Your technician will go over aftercare instructions to help maintain your results.
